We Have No Voice
They say wars are for big people... soldiers.
But why it’s always kids like us who are hurting?
Bombs don’t ask how small you are.
Bullets don’t say, Oh no, she’s just little.
Hunger don’t care if you are trying just a kid.
Some kids... they don’t even have their moms now.
Some kids can’t find their toys.
Some kids don’t remember what their house looked like.
Some kids... don’t even have shoes.
And some kids,
they don’t know where their baby brother went
They say war is over when guns stop.
But no.
War stays in the bad dreams…
in empty tummies…
in houses that don’t have doors anymore.
And we don’t talk.
We don’t cry too much…
Because… who listens to kids anyway?
Who hears us when we don’t even know what to say?
We got no voice.
That’s why war wins.
Again… and again… and again.
