Read this recently:
Manipulation begins in the mind.
A scared, stressed,or anxious person becomes easy to sway, they stop reasoning and start reacting. Their limbic system takes over, seeing only black and white, never the grey. Control their emotions, and you control their decisions.
Had few thoughts on the above statement. Do not know who wrote this. Got it from social media.
It's about manipulated mind...
For example, just to explain, It's like a disease that occurs when a person's immunity level is low. What happens when a person's immunity level is low..he would get easily infected, he is vulnerable. Similarly, a person who is scared, stressed, anxious, too disturbed can be influenced with ease i.e. manipulated.
Manipulation works such that the person will lose his consciousness of reasoning. He will just act as a puppet to the Master. Their limbic system controls the person (limbic system in the brain which is responsible for fear, anger, emotions) which cannot allow the other brain functions to control those emotions..like reasoning, calmness, giving a thorough understanding before an action. So a manipulated person is controlled by other person and all his decisions are made by him. In simple terms they are in full control like a small child who believes in mom and dad and does only what has been instructed (in a negative way though).
No one could escape manipulation. We all are manipulated with the experiences we had, the circumstances we grew up, the education we got, the religious customs we follow...all are the factors which made us what we are today.
In order to come out of it we read, we think, we access situations and self-assess our actions from time to time, that's where we indulge ourselves into complexity, subject to situations, constantly challenging ourselves and attaining nuances in approach, and grow. We make a mark and individuality for ourselves.
