Liberal thoughts have been so overused by both ends on the political arena that we have started being liberal to even a fascist mentality, as if they deserve it. Hence, you have to hit hard where it is due, irrespective of the person or party that shows up with such opinions. Unconditional tolerance is weakness too. You give the benefit of doubt to a cult mentality they will go so far before you realise it is late. Also, by the time the "benefit of doubt" is exhausted, the movement may already have significant institutional power and things go berserk. We should have robust institutions to support the liberal thoughts and have a clear understanding the line between "strong opinion" and "fascism". What do you say? Please comment..
