Threads of Sensitivity

Threads of Sensitivity :

In moments bright, where laughter sways,  

I play the fool in endless ways..

But under the jest, a river flows,  

Deep currents of feeling that nobody knows....

You chuckle lightly, yet doubt soon creeps,  

Wondering if my humor cuts deep..

What I intended as a gentle tease,  

Turns sharp as a thorn, brings you to your knees.... 

With every word that dances out,  

I fear the shadow of lingering doubt.. 

How could my heart, so tender and raw,  

Create a rift with the things that I draw?  

Anger can rise like a tide in the night,  

Where kindness falters and dims the light..  

Bitter words, like storms, collide in the air,  

Leaving love bruised, stripped bare of care....

I see the hurt in your searching eyes,  

The echoes of laughter turn to silent sighs.. 

Regret washes over, a wave pulling tight,  

For the joy that we shared has dimmed to twilight....  

I’m sorry for moments when I lose my way,  

For the words that sting, the games I play.. 

Inside this heart, sensitivity breathes,  

Yearning for peace and the hope that it weaves....  

Let’s gather the fragments, stitch them anew,  

With threads of compassion, our bond will pursue..  

For beneath the surface, our love still glows,  

In the depths of these feelings, true understanding grows....  

Together we’ll navigate the tangled shore,  

Learning the dance of what love’s truly for..  

In the tender embrace of forgiveness we find,  

A love that is patient, both gentle and kind....
